Xbox One X bugs/issues/glitches (possible spoilers)

Hello everyone,

I have been a huge Remedy fan for years. I bought an Xbox One X and thought this would be a perfect time to finally play Quantum break game as its been in my backlog for a while.

I was under the impression that since the game has been out for a long time, it would run relatively glitch free; unfortunately, it does not seem to be running this way at all. In fact, this has been one of the buggiest games I've played in a while.

I'm playing this on a 1080p tv, on an Xbox one X, with the hd video pack downloaded. The install size is 159.3 GB.

Apparently there is a larger download available but my system installed this one so not sure if the bigger version has the 4k content, but even if it does, I don't know if the Xbox One X will supersample down the 4K content to my 1080p display. Honestly,
I thought it was sampling down already because the game looks so nice. I could be wrong though.

Anyway, I wanted to compile a list of bugs and issues I have encountered since playing.

I am currently on Act 3, so there may be some spoilers from here on:

-Sometimes Chronon sources cannot be collected (the source is visible but it will not prompt me to press Y and collect). This happened in particular at the swimming building at the chronon at the side of the building at the beginning of the level. Had
to reload the game.

-Upon entering the radar tower on the island, Martin's speech begins and there is a ripple available to collect on the laptop in the room. However, upon entering the screen showing the live speech is black, but the audio is playing correctly as well as the
position of the audio is correct. The laptop on the right with ripple is not able to be activated. It just shows the static image of Martin on it.

-On the Xbox side menu that pops up when the home button is pressed, the icon of Quantum Break is there but the name is incorrect as it only shows "Quantum" without the break

-The area where the enemy van crashes through the gate and the stutter occurs; the game froze for several seconds twice during the fight scene. I thought the game froze but it came back after a few seconds and continued. I'm not sure if this issue is particular
to this area or in the game general. So this is more of a general game hanging issue

-During various in-game cutscenes, the video is very choppy and stutters. It should be smooth and is most of the time it is, but sometimes gets choppy

For most of these issues, I have to reload the checkpoint and it works, such as not being able to collect the chronon sources. But the ripple in the radar tower wasn't available at all and I looked up what I missed on line and there was supposed to be a
ripple there so I reloaded the whole level and played again, and then the ripple was there. I lost about 30 minutes of progress cause I had to go back so far.

I really love this game but it is really buggy and ruins the immersion when I have to constantly check my collectible progress to see if I missed anything cause the game might have bugged out.

Please list any issues you have noticed with this game on Xbox One X. I have heard (on the Remedy forum) that an Xbox One X patch is currently being worked on but I'm not sure as the game has been out for over a year now.

I hope they patch this cause I really like this game but it shouldn't be so buggy. Alan Wake was not like this at all. Smooth from the start. This is inexcusable as this was developed strictly for Xbox and then PC.

Possible Bug/Glitch?

After reading a few threads down, looks like there is a problem when you re-name your world. They said no fix at this point. They also talked about saving your (fav) world (stick/cloud) so this does not happen. Mobile post

I am guessing at this point. Have you tried to re-name back to where you started? Scooby doo ( number1)------hussie(number2) and see if it changes back. Like i said just guessing, i just got the game 4 days ago. Mobile post

I agree with what you said about the in-game cutscenes being choppy sometimes. I had the same exact experience playing on my Xbox One S. Interestingly, I only started playing the game on Novemebr 4, which was a few days after the X1X 4K patch. I think they
released a patch for the game for both the Xone One S and X1X, which introduced the choppiness into the in-game cutscenes.

Any YouTube videos of the game running on Xbone One (which are all from 2016), don't show the choppiness. I'm hoping Microsoft patches all versions of the game to fix this.
