    Xbox One X Blu Ray Help


    So I recently got a Xbox One X and have been watching blu ray movies.

    Occasionally I've had instances where the audio cuts then sometimes freezes before coming back on. Almost like a buffer.

    I know this is not an hdmi issue since the sound still works on the dashboard. I also know it's not a disc issue as this has happened with multiple discs.

    I have heard the blu ray app has a few problems and received mixed reviews. Is this normal? I'm just extremely neurotic and am scared the disc drive is failing.

    Sega Dreamcast - GD-ROM - A proprietary disc format

    PlayStation 2 - DVD

    Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Optical Disc

    XBOX - DVD

    PlayStation 3 - Blu-Ray

    XBOX 360 - DVD

    Nintendo Wii - Wii Optical disc (basically DVD)

    Wii U - Wii U Optical disc (basically Blu-Ray)

    PlayStation 4 - Blu-Ray

    XBOX One, One S and One X - Blu-Ray

    PlayStation 5 - Blu-Ray

    XBOX Series X - - Blu-Ray

    Xbox One and Xbox One S are 1080P Gaming

    Xbox One S will play 4K Blu Ray's

    Xbox One X will play Game in 4K if they are Enhanced with 4K Support + 4k Blu Ray support

    They Xbox One X will also Upscale on a 1080p screen so you will see some benefit of the Xbox One X

    Can the xBox play DVD-RAM discs?

    it can, it may have region locks for your area but yes the xbox one can play cd, dvd, blu-ray, and if you have the x/s 4k blu ray

    To game in 4k the only option is Xbox One X since The Xbox One S just pkays blu ray movies at 4k but not the games...hipe that helps 😉
