    Xbox One X Blu-ray: HDR will not display during 4K movie playback


    Issue: Any 4K movie played on Xbox One X Blu-ray app shows washed out colors in movie and on Xbox Dashboard menu during playback

    Currently having an issue with the Blu-ray app and HDR colors for any 4K movie that I try to play. I've seen some other people post about the same issue, but it doesn't seem to be wide spread. HDR works perfectly in every game and other video app (YouTube,
    Netflix, etc.), but not working for 4K movies. I've verified/tweaked all the settings in the "Video Output" options (HDR10 on/off, YCC 4:2:2 on/off, etc.), restarted console/TV, reset to default settings on both, and adjusted every single color option/profile
    that I can in order to get it to work with no success.

    Current setup:

    Samsung 75" Q7FN

    Xbox One X (connected to TV via HDMI; optical output to receiver)

    Marantz SR-7008 AV Receiver

    Anyone ever figure out how to fix this issue? I'm 99.9% sure it's the Blu-ray app not passing the HDR metadata to the TV, and hopefully Microsoft has a fix for it soon.

    How do I make Dolby vision become active on 4 k uhd disc play back even when allow box has been ticked

    Hi I have a Xbox series x with a Dolby vision compatible tv also will the allow Dolby vision playback selected in settings on and it still only displays in HDR only when playing 4k blu rays ? I have set it 4k 60hz and the games display in Dolby vision plus streaming apps but not 4k disc playback! Is this correct that the xbox series can’t do this ?

    When will Microsoft patch the One X to support Dolby Vision on the 4K Blueray player

    I have a XBOX One X connected to an OLED LG C8. If I use the Netflix app on XBOX One X then the LG will display Dolby Vision. So I know that it is passing. But If I use a 4K Bluray that has Dolby Vision, the player will only output HDR。Blu-ray
    playback is already up to date.

    XBOX ONE S poor HDR support with UHD BluRays

    I'm having similar issue with HDR content especially through 4K UHD Blu-ray playback. There seems to be no fix for past 10 months. This is very poor of Microsoft to ignore. Now that Xbox One X is out, it too have HDR issues with 4K UHD player & Netflix app.

    The Xbox One S 4K Blu-Ray Player Is A Disaster...Good Job!!

    There are a number of AV issues with the Xbox One S/X and UHD Blu-ray playback, your guess is as good as mine if they will be fixed.

    Certain UHD titles are broken and will not play.

    Dolby Atmos is unreliable.

    4K AV receiver HDMI handshaking issues.

    Image quality issues, the wrong color matrix being used in Blu-ray playback (see review comparison

    in link    ).

    They could have broken something on the One S in their rush to fix the broken Blu-ray HDR on the One X with the 10.0.16299.4037 that includes said HDR fix.

    My 4K HDR Movie doesn't work!

    Hey there mind if i jump in here!

    As i am aware not all HDR / 4K supported movies work on the Xbox one S at the moment (Some bug out as you mentioned while others crash the Blu-ray app) first lets head over to the settings - Disc & Blu-ray - Blu-Ray - Persistent storage - Clear persistent
    storage

    As well double check if your settings are correct for full Blu-ray playback.
