    hello fellow forum users,

    I have a quick display set up question. I wonder if someone might be able to give me some tips to try out.

    I am using two displays: LG OLED tv (4k) mainly for games and Sanyo projector (1080p) mainly for movies. Xbox one X is connected to Marantz AVR which then connects to these two display devices based on which one I'm watching. Currently when I try to start
    using xbox through my projector, the screen goes blank and I am unable to get a picture unless I press the xbox button for 10 secs to cold boot the console. Somehow the autodetection for the display currently in use is not working.

    This same two display set up is currently working just fine for my PS4 PRO, Chromecast Ultra and it was working fine with my Xbox One S, before I replaced it with X. Going back from projector to TV works well (and 4k and HDR are again enabled) also on Xbox.
    I tried to force Xbox to 1080p on my TV first before changing the video output to the projector, but that didn't help (and it would have been rather clunky manual step in between if I had to do that every time).

    Any suggestions? (other than upgrading my projector to 4k -- which I'm kinda tempted to do)

    Thanks for your post! If there is no picture displayed on the TV/Monitor after power up, try following steps listed on this article:

    Troubleshooting a blank TV screen for Xbox One     also be sure to attempt switching out the HDMI cable for good measure.

    XBOX One X - HDMI Splitter into Input

    I was using a 4x splitter with the "out" HDMI to a 5040UB Epson Projector. I plugged the xbox into one of the 4 input hdmi spots on the splitter. My laptop was put into another and a TV Box into another. It did not work. The screen frequently blanked
    out and during any video activity from any of the input devices did the same. I changed all the HDMI cables to the best 4x I could buy and this still didn't help.

    However, when I connected the splitter to the Xbox one x (one of two HDMI connections) and the Xbox one directly to the projector everything worked perfectly. I could switch between any of the inputs to the splitter. Of course when I wanted to use the
    xbox one x for all the xbox stuff I simply went to the xbox home screen and away things worked with no issues.
