Xbox One X - black screen when playing

Hi

I've seen a few similar posts but currently had no joy.

Son's had a new Xbox one X - connected to a Panasonic EX700b - used to have xbox one connected and worked fine.

when playing games he gets a brief black screen/flicker, sometimes it's every 5 minutes or so, other times it'll be every 30 seconds or so.

ran through the xbox settings - YCC is off and set to 8 bit colour -

tried a couple of different HDMI cables - good ones - Kramer Pico

ran through the TV settings - seems fine HDMI is in mode 2, tried HDR on and off, turned off ambient light sensor etc. still no joy.

any thoughts?

Black screen while playing

Hello, since few days I have the problem that my Xbox One x get a black screen while playing. The screen becomes black for 1-2 seconds, while playing or when I browse in the store. The Black screen appears randomly, different Games. Sometime three times
in 10 Minutes. I try a new hdmi cable, cold Start the Xbox (press 10s the power button on the Xbox), cold Start of my Samsung Tv. Nothing helps, have everyone the same Problem or a Solution. Thx and Kind regards Andreas

Thanks for coming to the forums with this inquiry. I understand that your console is flickering to black screen repeatedly. Is this an issue that just started occurring or has it always done that. I recommend looking through this support article:Troubleshooting
a blank TV screen or monitor while your Xbox One is on. If that doesn't help try this:How to reset your console to factory defaults
on Xbox One.(you'll need your Microsoft account email and password to recover your account) Now if it keeps doing that even after those things your console may need to be serviced.

thanks - it's not one of those unfortunately.

definitely a 4K issue - currently running in 1080p and it's not flickering.

it's either a cable issue / Xbox video output setting / tv setting -

my cables are embedded in the wall so hoping its not that.

change the panel setting in video output to 10bit and it seems to have stopped the flashing when playing in HDR.

read a forum post which suggested this to cure blanking - seems to have worked so far if it helps anyone.
