    Xbox one X barely out of warranty, wont power on....


    Hi,

    Ive owned all generations of Xbox since inception, still have a functional 360 and one S that have both seen much more use than this onex that has failed under 2 months out of warranty with minimal use and zero abuse of any kind what so ever, i know how
    to care for hardware. Been through troubleshooting and the unit is %100 NFG, no doubt dead PSU... Making for a very uncomfortable xmas now as 2 children must share the oneS!!!! This is a premium product and to say im disappointed would be an extreme understatement!!!
    Tried going through service section and only option i could get was a replacement at nearly 400 AUD.... Come on MS...

    Usually this is an issue with the consoles power supply, Which model of Xbox do you own?

    If it is the original xbox one then you can try another power supply but if it is an S or X then usually you would need to send these in for repair through the xbox online service and warranty centre.

    This could be more than just a power supply failure - since you got water on the motherboard.

    Here's all you can try before getting a repair (~135 USD out of warranty) or a new one:

    Reset the power supply if it had a surge protection trip by unplugging the console from the wall (and the power supply from the wall, if you have a power brick) for 10 seconds and plug the console in first and then into the wall and boot up again. If that
    does not fix it you will need a repair.
