Xbox One X Backwards Compatibility Not Reading Disc

I've had my Xbox One X for probably over a year now and wanted to play some of my old 360 games on it but when I insert the disc nothing happens. There is no spin up sound for the disc being read or anything indicating the system acknowledges there is
a disc in it on screen. I tried several 360 games, and yes they're all on the backwards compatible list, and nothing works. When I insert a Xbox One game I can hear it spinning right away and it asks if I want to install or play the game depending on which
one I inserted. I know my system can read 360 disc because I installed Halo Reach a few months back but now it tells me to insert the game disc even if its already in the system.

That does not help. I've even done a complete factory reset. It will read Xbox one games, but will NOT READ Xbox backwards compatible games THAT ARE listed as official Microsoft backwards compatible games. The games work fine on 360, all 25 of them but NONE work on the Xbox one x console, just the Xbox one games only.

Gold is required to play online on the Xbox. So even if it's a free-to-play game, you still need Gold to play online.

As far as the games you have on Disc, you would not get the remastered ones for free, but if they are backwards compatible you can use the discs to play on the Series X (https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility?xr=shellnav)
The Series S will not have a disc drive so backwards compatible discs will not work and the games would have to be purchased digitally.

Hello yes both of those games are backwards compatible. When you insert the disc does the console read the disc? Does any other disc work in the xbox one console?

Fight night round 4 isn't backwards compatible. I've got 360 disc and doesn't work on xbox series x. Fight night Champion is backwards compatible.

Yes, the disc games should work fine with the Xbox Series X, as long as the games are backward compatible. The list of back compat games can be found here. It includes Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games.
