Xbox One X as a media consumption device

I purchased the Xbox One X as a media consumption device first and game console second mainly for its advertised support for Dolby Vision and Atmos standards and 4K HDR. I know there are more people that purchased the Xbox for the same reasons because when
you look at the Xbox's capabilities it is an solid value/bargain proposition, blu ray player, game console, streaming device, the "all in one" media entertainment device.

But here lies the problem, the Xbox One's implementation of Dolby standards seems cobbled together.

(Reminder that the Dolby logos were prominently displayed on the box as a supported feature).

1. Dolby Vision output is only supported in streaming app services. So 4K Dolby Vision blu rays output in regular HDR. (I was apparently mistaken and/or ignorant to assume that because it can play 4K blu rays and has the Dolby Vision logo that it would
actually do those in combination.)

2. When you set the Xbox One to output bitstream audio and Dolby Atmos, it forces all audio to be output as Dolby Atmos. This causes many issues but mainly audio synch. Just watching a Youtube video in stereo sound will come out as Atmos. This happens
regardless of where the Xbox is plugged into whether tv or soundbar/receiver. Yes all of my devices in the chain fully support Dolby Vision/Atmos, and properly detect other and different encoding types, verified through other streaming devices and standalone
blu ray player.

This is a plea to the Xbox team to please update/fix the Xbox software to make the Xbox the incredible media center that it could be for those of us that use it as "media" device first.
