xbox one x and xbox one are slow to be offered updates compared to other users

Both of my xbox one x and xbox one are slow to be offered updates compared to other users. For example, friends will be updating destiny at patch launch but I will wait 10 minutes until it is available. I hard reset, turn off, turn on, etc it does not help.

Today and now, the day 1 anthem patch is available was earlier today. Neither xboxes have it available. If I go to the anthem game under apps, no update is available.

Is there a fix for this? Is there a setting that I have incorrect?

There are no restrictions on my router. I am open to trying anything.

Download speeds are slow too - only on the xboxes - everything else on the network is blazing fast.

Hi there,

Are both of your Xbox's enrolled in the Xbox Insider program?

Since the Insider program tests system updates before they go live, they are bound to have some bugs affecting other features and this likely could be the case.

Another thing to note is that if a patch for a game goes live, you won't be able to play the game without the update. Just try launching the game and it should prompt you that an update is available for this game and then it should start as soon as you selected
Update.

Maybe a recent preview update has caused a bug that delays displaying the update under your games and apps section, but once the patch is live for everyone it should be able to be downloaded if you launch the game. You won't be able to play the game without
it's most recent update.

You can leave the preview program to correct this issue if you'd like or I recommend

reporting this issue to the insider team as a bug you found from being apart of this program.

will do this but it is happening on both xboxes.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

You should also reset your modem/router.

hi all

I soft reset one of the xboxes (the one I play on most.) It did not help things. Speeds updating anthem were 1.3 mb/s on average. I am on a 100 fios connection.

I just unenrolled that one from preview after reporting the issue. I will see if it helps.
