Xbox One X and EU warranty law

I live in UK. I'm lucky enough to purchase it from Argos where I am employed, so I have an extra support. Already spoke to the support team on our internal channels and apparently there's a chance for a replacement or refund. In the worse scenario I have
to pay something as a part exchange. The thing is that I have to prove that it's a manufacturer fault. For me it's obvious, but probably not for the store.

My friend got his headset replaced with the following answer from customer support:

Yes, please contact them one more time and remind them that the warranty for any electronic device sold in an EU country is 24 months from the date of acquisition.

Only applies if you bought the console.in the Eu

Not from the us or canada or asia

If you bought an xbox one console from the Europe it would show with the extended warranty

Are you actually in the europe or did you buy out of region

If you bought a non european console.then no it doesnt apply as you would have to send it to the US at your cost for warranty cheaper to send it to a relative

Warranties are regional EU warranties dont apply to US products

Great example cellphones and wifi products

Chinese made for china phones use a wifi a chip most of the world doesnt

This is why you buy from your own region not outnof region

I would definitely look at contacting the retailer, i had a xbox one s die on me after about 19 months from tesco and they partially refunded me as it was out of the 12 months warranty period, i kept the xbox and got it repaired and still had some money
left over.

I got it repaired by someone i found on youtube who was repairing the exact issue i was getting.
