XBox One X and Controller Shut Down

  So I just set up my XBox One X. In the past, with my XBox One Day 1 Edition and Elite, when I wished to turn off the console and controller, I'd press the XBox button (long hold) and then click turn off the console. This action
  would also turn off my controller. On the XB1X when I do this, the console turns off but the controller stays on for about 10 minutes until it times out. This is annoying.

brand new xbox one x controller doesn't work correctly

my controller cannot power up the console and when I shut down xbox one x the controller doesn't turn off automatically

when always is turned on all works as intended, the only problem is with power controlling

 

Xbox restarts instead of shut down

Hello,

from a week or two, my Xbox One S restarts instead of shut down.

This happens when i try to turn off console with

- Controller

- Shut down from the menu

- X button in front of the console

- after 6 hours of inactivity

...And after this restart i can shut down the console with any of the above methods that i know.

Any suggestions?

Apologies as when I replied the information was seen as only two bulletins, but nonetheless our recommendation here is that the console might still be one when you've turned it off through the controller.

This would be a huge contributing factor to the controller still being on for some time, so would suggest here for you to attempt the following:

• Hold the power on the front of the console for an approximate 10 seconds (Without using the controller)
• Unplug the power cord from the back of the console, and from the source where it is being plugged in, i.e. wall outlet, power strip
• Leave the console in this state for 2 minutes

Attempt this and let us know if afterwards when selecting the console to turn off, if the controller follows almost instantly or faster than before.
