Xbox One X - All game downloads stop at 12.00KB

Hi Everyone,

I’m having an issue where I cannot download games. I have gone through a number of soft and hard reset of my console, and once I’ve re-configured everything, and try to install games, the download starts and then stops at 12.00kb downloaded (tried with different games and all stop at the same spot).

If I do a reboot after this point, I just get a black screen.

I’ve been battling these issues for a year now and not sure what else to try… I can’t use my Xbox, can’t find a Series X to purchase and my Xbox is now just a very expensive paperweight.

Any help would be great.

Hi Mohammed, unfortunately I’ve gone through these steps a number of times before with no luck. I tried a reset over the weekend, and tried to download a single game. It ran for a while then just stopped. When trying to resume it would stop almost immediately. If I cancel all downloads, reboot and resume, I get the same issue - it will download for a short time, then stop and not resume. I have this issue since June last year. My Xbox is up to date with all updates/patched.

I am having this exact issue. Brand new One X will not download fortnite. Any other game and app downloads fine. I have tried all listed troubleshooting steps but the download just stops.

I also want to add that I have tried on both of my consoles, a launch Xbox One as well as a One X that is less than a month old.

That's not related at all. Please create a new post for your problem or find one of the many other "download stops at [x]%" threads, to let this one stay on topic. Thanks.
