Xbox One X 5 to 10 second freezing.

Has anyone else been having issues with the Xbox One X freezing for 5 to 10 seconds during gameplay? I had this happen a few times yesterday playing Assassin's Creed Origins, it doesn't fully crash, just freezes for about 5 seconds then goes back to normal.
I thought it might just be the current update of the game causing it because people were talking about it on the Ubisoft forums but then I had it happen once today playing Mafia 3, I'm not sure if it's an issue with the console or if enhanced titles are just
buggy at the moment. The only 2 games I've had it happen on are X enhanced titles. I have the Scorpio Edition so I don't wanna return it and get a basic replacement if it's just some kind of weird temporary bug with enhanced titles.

GTA 5 Freezing

Hi,

my GTA 5 is freezing after some minutes (round 10 to 20). Its freezed and next second im in the dashboard.

reinstall and hardboot doesnt help :/

any solutions?

Ark surviva evolved keeps freezing

ark survival on xbox one. Got a downloaded version. Keeps freezing after 10 seconds playing. Tried uninstalling and re installing. Any ideas?

 

I've managed to capture it happening twice with Mafia 3 on my game DVR, videos are in my recent game captures on my profile.

 

Nope, you're not alone. Mine is doing it in the dashboard as well. Think it might be something wrong with the NIC. When I unplug the cat6 cable, all stuttering goes away and it's smooth as glass. See what Microsoft says I guess :/

 

Yea I haven't had it happen on the dashboard yet, just during gameplay. Over the last 4 days I played through the entire campaign of Halo 5 and Dead Rising 4 and didn't see it happen once, but I'm almost certain if I put in Mafia 3 it'll happen within an
hour of playing. I'm convinced it's an issue with certain games. When I talked to support they said there's performance and latency issues they're currently investigating, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

 

I too have this freezing issue on a regular xbox one x, it happens while playing games or in the dashboard, freezes on both enhanced and non enhanced games, i hope it is just a software glitch that can be fixed as I really don't want to be downloading everything
again.

 

@Inspiring Rage: Yea I'm hoping it's just software related and will get fixed. I know the last system update they did fixed issues with the 4K Blu Ray player, I almost think something with that update caused it. I got the console on launch day and now that
I think about it I didn't see the issue for the first week I owned the console, I only first saw it happen after that update. I haven't had it happen on digital games yet, just a couple disc games. But then there's disc games I haven't seen it happen on so
I'm not sure.

 

It happened to me today a good few times, before and after I received a software update, playing sniper elite 3 digital version and it froze when i switched to the dashboard for 20 seconds, i tried to transfer some captured game footage to a usb device and
the xbox froze twice when selecting videos, it has to be a software issue as a hardware issue i reckon would crash the machine. I think the software maybe corrupted on my one x, the same thing happens on other user profiles on this box, my one s does not have
this issue and if the problem is not addressed by sunday it's going back to the shop for a refund.

 

@Inspiring Rage: Yea that's what I was thinking, it has to be software. If it was an issue with hardware the game DVR wouldn't capture it, it would just capture the seconds before or after the freeze and wouldn't capture the freeze itself. Since it's still
in it's 30 day return period I'm going to play as many different games as possible over the next week to see if I have it happen on any others, if it doesn't then I guess I'll hold on to it, in my opinion if it only happens on those 2 games for me then it's
not worth returning for such a small rare occurrence. I urge anyone having the issue to report it to support so maybe they'll see it's not just an isolated incident, if they get enough reports they'll have to come out and acknowledge it.

 

Got the same problem, they have replaced my Xbox One X Scorpio already for a new Scorpio but that one has a slight different issue this one freezes and then goes to the Dasboard and I have to load the whole game again.

They are now sending me a third one but helpdesk thinks its a software issue.
