Xbox one WPA Enterprise

Discus and support Xbox one WPA Enterprise in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I would like to connect my xbox one to the university wifi but the xbox one does not recognise WPA Enterprise.     Xbox one WPA Enterprise


    I would like to connect my xbox one to the university wifi but the xbox one does not recognise WPA Enterprise. I know other people were having this problem since 2013 therefore I am wondering whether there is a solution already. Mirroring of Wifi os not
    permitted at our university. Changing the MAC address or using a network cable did not work either.

    Hi there,

    As you are at a college, and the security protocol is WPA-Enterprise, you will need to work with the IT group there for how to connect the console to it.

    WPA-Enterprise is not the same as WPA (personal).

    Sorry to hear it. When it comes to University or College connections you'll need to contact the school's IT department for help in connecting the console.

    As mentioned if there is additional security to work around. You need to contact the people in charge of setting that security up. Even if you did connect, The NAT type still may be strict and make gaming hard.

    Change your protocols

    Most consoles only support Wi-Fi wpa 2 pse not enterprise

    OR WPA 3 which is meant for enterprise not consumer

    Hello!

    I would try the following troubleshooting steps to see if any of them help.

    • Hard reset Xbox
    • Make sure the encryption is WPA or WPA2 (not enterprise)
    • Try changing the wifi encryption type on the router (if it's WPA & WPA2, try setting it to just one)
    • Change the Wifi Password & try the new one
