  1. Xbox one wouldn't turn off into instant on state

Tonight when I went to turn off the Xbox it acted like it was going to shut off like normal but didn't. Instead the light on the Xbox stayed on and the Kinect light would shut off but then turn back on about 10 - 15 seconds later.

When the Kinect light was off the Xbox light would be bright white but would dim when the Kinect turned back on. It also didn't shut off the tv but had just a black screen. It cycled through this about 20 times.

I was able to get it to fully shut off by holding the power button. I was just trying to see if anyone has ran into this and if it is possibly normal? I know mine has never done this before.

Hopefully it will turn back on tomorrow.

    :)

  2. Looking for info on downloading games & power settings

You must set your Xbox One to 'Instant On' to allow downloads to take place when not actively using the console. When Instant On is enabled in the options, the console goes into a low power state when you press the power button or turn the console off via
    the dashboard.

While in instant on, full games, DLC apps and game updates will happen automatically by default.

To turn off Instant On, go into the Xbox One’s Settings by pressing the Menu button, and then Settings, or say “Xbox, go to Settings.” Then go to Power and startup.

Select Power Options, and then switch from Instant-On mode to energy-saving mode. This will allow the Xbox One to completely shut down.

Turn it back on and go into settings and uncheck ""Xbox turn off" turns off my cable or satellite box"", then switch the previous setting back to Instant-On

It is a work around but the only down side is you will have to turn your cable/satellite box off until/if they get a fix

  4. Xbox one wouldn't turn off into instant on state

I have had this exact same problem, yes. I am also curious what this is.

Usually if I turn off the xbox manually, then turn it back on, everything will work fine again. This issue does come back every so often though, and I'll have to manually turn it all off again.
