xbox one wouldn't power on at first. need help.

My Xbox one wouldn't power on at first (this isn't the first time i have used it). I pressed the power button several times and even pressed the eject disc button. It made all the sounds it would usually make when you tried to power it in or eject the disc
but the light on the power button wouldn't come on and the system wouldn't power on. I unplugged it from the power supply ( i didn't unplug the power supply, i just unplugged the consul from it) and plugged it back in and it would power on just fine. I just
wanted to make sure this wasn't a sign of anything bigger going wrong with my system or if anyone else had experienced the same problem. I would also like to know how to fix this so that it is just a one time thing. The system is only about a year old. thanks

Blank Screen/ "Green Screen of Death"

This doesn't really help. When I tried this there was no light on the power supply at all. So the console wouldn't turn on for at least five minutes. When it did, I had the same 'Xbox One' screen again

 

Controller Issues.

My controller wouldn't work at all.

I found turning off the power-strip my new cod xbox one is plugged into when cycling power did the trick.

I realized it might when I noticed the controller stays on when plugged in,

even without batteries, even with the xbox off.

Might not help with you, but it might help someone.

Got to cut the power completely.

sometimes is just a matter of connection between the power brick and the console that might cause this. In this status the console receives only enough power to execute basic commands but can't turn on fully. My suggestion is to check the power brick connection
and make sure there are no bends or nods along the cable.

thanks. i think you may be right because when i replugged the power supply into my xbox it worked just fine. i dont think that it is something wrong with my power supply's condition becasuse it had never had this problem before this. if this happens again
i with cerntainly look into trying a diffrent power supply.
