Hi Everyone is the xbox one worth buying? (currently have a 360) - opinions would be good.

 

To add to this, I was so close to buying an XBOX ONE the other day, I have been turned off by the lack of sales, desperate price drops.

This 1080p 60FPS , is bothering me, because I have a top of the range Samsung TV, and I would notice that I game can't do a resolution of 1080p 60FPS, although I know the PS4, most of their games are 1080p 60FPS, are developers getting to grips with this
for the XBOX ONE games now or still finding it difficult?

 

Umm no no you wouldnt the minute you played Ryse you wouldnt notice a thing. And yes its been worth buying since November 2013.

 

Thanks Genchy, I do like that Microsoft are doing updates every month for the XBOX ONE, will see if this pattern changes.

 

Im being serious about Ryse as well, dont listen to all the BS that floats about. The One is a great bit of kit had mine since day one, and you are correct with all the updates it gets better and better. Some great games coming out for it as well. By
the way I game on a Samsung and it looks awesome! I would also recommend the Kinect it just adds to the experience, but that is just my opinion.

 

I suppose now would be a good time to buy an Xone if you had just received the same official e-mail offer as I have.

As in being given 50,000 reward points if I purchase an Xone and sign it in on XBL between now and 6th October.

 

Well if you're looking for a consistent 1080/60fps experience you're best off with PC because at least then you have the option of upgrading to squeeze every last drop out of your games while with consoles you're stuck with what you get.

Later gen PS4 games will probably see a drop in res and framerate if the graphical ceiling keeps going up the way it is.

 

I wouldn't bother with an xboxone, the Devs are struggling to get the next COD to match the PS4 version

Does resolution matter? Well yes, or else games wouldn't look any better this generation but the physics, lighting, NPC's, AI would be frigging awesome. So play the game as it was meant to be played, on PLAYSTATION 4

'Ooh Im good' has a point, if the best is possible, then the best is what u should get, and want tbh, regardless of how much difference it makes.

If 2 identical TV's were for sale, same price, same make...but 1 720p and 1 1080p, u wouldn't choose the 720p.

In my personal opinion, i'd go Xbox One (and have done) simply because i just can't use the PS Pad. Gaming wise, there's no 'real' difference, except exclusives.

Myself personally, I've had my issues with Xbox One, its never worked as it should since i got it Day 1.

3 weeks in and it lost all power, sent it back, and when it finally came back the controller constantly (to an unplayable level) disconnects and the in-built wifi does not work, and flashes up a warning to send for a repair.

Frustrating...too say the least.

I must say, i have a good few friends who have one, that have no such issues.

Finally, Xbox Live still urinates all over Psn from a 'gaming' point of view.

Do you want Xbox or PS4? Its as simple as that. There's not that much difference, apart from pads, dashboards and online experience, and all 3 are keeping me Xbox.

 

Xbox live delivers a superior online experience. The console itself may lose out to a few pixels on some (not all) games, but as a bit of kit it wees all over the PS4. And I know which platform has the best exclusives.

 

No reason to buy one until Halo master cheif edition arrives.

Constant price drops.

You're better off waiting...

 

Its been well worth getting since launch, great games, great console, and it gets even better with each and every regular update. Its not the only platform i game on, but its certainly my gaming preference. I never concern myself with all the resolution
nonsense people spout, all i know is the xbox one games i play, look and play great.
