Xbox One worked initially but now it won't turn on

When I try to turn on my Xbox One by pressing the power button it lights up for a second, makes a noise, and then doesn't turn on. I can't turn it on using the controller or Kinect anymore either. It was working fine before this. I talked to customer service
and they told me to send the console back. I verified that the outlet and/or wires weren't the issue. Did anyone else have this problem? Is it common? Has anyone fixed it or did you have to get a replacement system?

sky volume not coming through on first start

I have a SKY HD box going into my XBOX one and my XBOX one going into an ONKYO AMP.

When I initially turn the XBOX on and say XBOX WATCH TV or now with the recent update I have the XBOX going to TV by default when I power on.

This may be a problem with the SKY box but the sound doesn't come through at all initially. If I switch the SKY box off then on again it work fine again. Anyone else seeing this behaviour? It certainly has worked in the past consistently but now I get this
behavior every time.

 

Xbox one controller

Xbox one controller won't turn on. I was playing a game and then the controller just disconnected and now it won't even turn on. Tried all of the suggestions on the support page none have worked. Any ideas how to fix? It's the controller with the 3.5mm jack.

 

If the LED power indicator on your psu is not lighting up or is pulsating orange, then you have a defective psu. If the LED power indicator remains solid white or orange, then there is nothing wrong with your psu and you probably should send the console
back to them...especially if it's still under warranty.

The steps there will determine if something needs to be replaced or not.

 

The LED on the psu is solid orange. When I press the power button on the console the LED on the psu turns white briefly and then goes back to orange. And I had already seen that link for Xbox support and gone through all of the steps with no success. I guess
the console needs to be replaced.

 

It does look like a console issue, but to be sure I advise you contacting Xbox Support via
support.xbox.com/contact-us with their help you will be able to determine if a repair is needed.
