Xbox one won't update

Discus and support Xbox one won't update in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Power on the console and it says it needs an update. I start update gets to 2% then says update failed.     Xbox one won't update


    Power on the console and it says it needs an update. I start update gets to 2% then says update failed. I tried the offline update with the osu1 zip and the update also failed.( error code e101). think my hard drive might be corrupted but i would like to know what it was that corrupted it, and if i get a new hard drive and use my same xbox profile ,gamer tag is it going to corrupt this hard drive. I don't know if this is related but i changed my payment option for Game Pass and everything started messing up after that. (Don't know ) Thank you for any help.

    I've been messing with this for weeks. Originally when I turn on the Xbox I would get a black screen. I could access the side menu by pressing the home button on the controller and it would pull up my recently used apps or games but when I would click on My apps and games nothing would happen. Now I can't access anything. Soon as I turn it on it says I need an update. Then update fails. Thanks again for taking the time to help.

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the problem you are having, I suggest you try the solution below, please.

    1. Turn off Xbox One.
    2. Unplug power.
    3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.
    4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).
    5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.
    6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.
    7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.
    8. Select Keep games and apps.

    Hey StealthyPrawn21! Sorry to hear about the updating issue you're having. Does the console start downloading the update and get stuck or do you never get to the point of starting the update? Are you using a wireless or wired connection? Post back and let
