    Xbox one won’t update


    Hi all

    my xbox was stuck on the green screen so done a restore factory defaults, remove eveything by using the trouble shooter 4 box choose screen. When i select the factory defaults it says preparing console then get to 73% it then asks all the questions like
    where i am from. Because its hard wired in it then says IT IS TIME TO UPDATE then it just has a circle spinning gor a few minutes and then a error code E203 comes up. Ive tried leaving it for a day and nothing. Ive tried unplugging it for a day and nothing.
    Ive tried doing a soft reset and when switching it back on it say preparing console and only get to 50% and stops. Ive tried doing the offline system update with the flash drive and i cant select the window that says OFFLINE SYSTEM UPDATE on the trouble shooting
    screen. Ive tried a few times to do a hard reset by holding eject button and the pairing button to get to the trouble shoot screen and REMOVING EVERTHING and it all still gets back to the stage where is says IT IS TIME TO UPDATE and then the circle just spins.
    Ive tried taking out the hard wire/phone lead and then it asks me to enter wifi details i put the password in and nothing happens i push B button to go back and then im just stuck on enter wifi password. I then will have to do a hard reset to get back to the
    trouble shoot screen. Feels like im going around in circles.

    I have exactly the same problem. After recent update Xbox one won’t turn on. Tried everything to no avail.

    Hey Lizzie,

    Thank you for reaching out. I see you have been having some trouble with updating your console. Going by the error codes you are receiving and the troubleshooting you already tried, I suggest you try an

    offline system update    . You will need a USB flashdrive and a Windows based PC in order to begin. Hope this helps! :D

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    As I have checked the error code: "This happens when the Xbox servers are undergoing maintenance. Wait a little while and then try to update your console again."

    However, I have checked and everything is up and running on Microsoft's end.

    Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below accordingly:

    " 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."
