Xbox One wont turn on?

I just went out and bought an xbox one today. When I got home and set it all up as it should be but it wont turn on? Noise comes from the xbox itself when I press the On button and the Eject Disk button and the amber light is lit on the power brick which
Ive read means the power supply is okay. I've tried unplugging it all and waiting then plugging it back in but still nothing! I've also tried plugging it into another power source and that didnt work either. HELP ME

same thing is happening to me except i had it working for half an hour then it shut off for no reason... then any time i try to turn it on it it will come on for half a second then shut off...

Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear about the issue, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

Unplug your Xbox One consoles power supply cable from the console, from the wall outlet, and from the power supply itself.

Make sure to wait 10 seconds in order for your power supply unit to reset.

Firmly plug the power cable back into the console, and then plug the power cable back into the electrical outlet and the power supply.

Try turning on your console.

Hi thanks for your reply I have Tryed all of the trouble shooting with no luck I even purchased a new power block and that one does exactly the same thing.

Hi there

Im still rocking my original xbox one.I have had this problem myself, turned out it was the plug i plugged it into just didn't like it.

Is the power supply got any light on it, orange or white?

I can suggest perhaps just plugging the power supply into a different plug to see if its receiving any power at all.

If its an adapter with multiple plugs, theres usually a little button at the top to reset the power.

check if the plugin your house works. something could have happened to cause the plugin not to work.

if you have plugs that is controlled by a switch make sure that is on to.
