    xbox one won't turn on - error message 0x80070490


    switch on my console and can't even get into the home screen. Just keep getting the 'something went wrong' (0x80070490) message over and over. So can't even clear system cache etc. What can I do?

    Last thing I did on the console was install red dead redemption if that helps

    Hey there, Every time I turn on my Xbox One I get this error message 0x80070490 clicking close, only makes the message reappear.

    I have tried Hard resetting the console, Turning off the power and waiting.

    Whenever I turn my Xbox on i get an error message

    Every time i turn my xbox on i get the message 'something went wrong' and i get an error code '0x80070490'. I am unable to access the Xbox home page and I have tired hard resetting my xbox but that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

    Have you attempted a full power cycle with your Xbox One by chance? Hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds until it shuts down completely, then start it back up.
