Xbox One won't turn on but has power

When I try to turn on the Xbox One with the controller, the controller powers up but the Xbox doesn't. When I try to turn on the Xbox One on the console itself, it makes the normal beep noise, however the white light does not come on and neither does the
Xbox. Help!

Xbox One won't turn on

I just got a new Xbox One yesterday but the Xbox won't turn on. The colour of the light on the power brick is orange, but I'm not sure if that has to do with my problem.

I've had this issue a few times and every time all I had to do was unplug every wire from the back of the console, the outlets, and the TV, and the wait about a minute. After that I plugged everything back in and cut it on. It started up slow the first few
times but then went back to normal. It is simplistic but it has helped me with other issues as well.

Hey there!

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems with your Xbox One console. If you have already gone through the Power Solution troubleshooters on our Support page and the issue has not been resolved. The only other options would be to set up the console
for a repair. Unfortunately being the console has been tampered with the console won't be serviced.

As far as repairing the console yourself, there is not much we can recommend ourselves.

The good news is that the Xbox One power supply has a built in surge protector, so it does sound like the power supply might need to be replaced and not the console. Before you head down that road though. Check out these guides and see if it helps out.
