    Xbox One won't turn on after update!


    Unfortunately I have a problem with my Xbox One: after an update that appeared today (04/02), my console just doesn't turn on anymore. I've tried to take it out of the fountain for a while, but it didn't work out. He often makes that sound of energy, as if he doesn't have the strength to turn it on.

    I am part of the Insider program and I thank those who assist me in solving this problem.

    I've tried Unplugging the xbox after an update

    Holding down the X icon for 10 seconds

    Holding down the power button for 10 seconds

    Switching plugs

    And still it won't turn on after the update. The xbox acknowledges that's its on cos it makes some bleeping sound but it just won't turn on

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to power on your console after an update.

    Have you had a chance to be able to try and power on your console via an alternate outlet?

    Are you able to at least boot-up your console into the
    Xbox Startup Troubleshooter    ?

    This can be done by following these simple steps:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
      EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox button  on the console.
    5. Continue holding the BIND and
      EJECT       buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
      BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    You should be able to boot-up your console normally after that.

    Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!
