Discus and support XBOX one wont take new update, offline or online. 5/2 in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I turned xbox one on and online update started. 370mb.     I turned xbox one on and online update started. 370mb. Update froze at 74% for 20 min. I tried the offline update and will not work. I cant even do offline factory reset. Please help.

    new xbox one new game forza 5 wont install tried offline wont go past 2% this is seriously a joke been on with it for 6hours

    This error code (E101) indicates that there was an error while trying to install and run the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool.

    You may have accidentally downloaded an incorrect Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool file. Please review the instructions on how to locate the correct operating system version so that you can select the correct Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool file.
    Then, download and install the file again.

    Please check the steps and file on this link:

    If you are receiving any other error codes please check

    My OS version is 10.0.10586.1194 (th2_xbox_rel_1603.160317-1900) fre

    According to the tools i should use OSUDT 2 file. I downloaded that file. extracted it to usb drive formatted in NTFS and still received that error.

    Hey elitedeuce22,

    Some users have reported success by attempting the offline diagnostic multiple times. I recommend trying a couple more attempts with OSUDT2, and if the issue persists, the next step would be to try the 'Restore Factory Defaults' file at
    least 3 times. Keep in mind this route will erase all games and apps installed on your Xbox One console. Your game saves should be synced to the cloud as long as you're connected to Xbox Live when you play.

    I know this is not an ideal scenario, but please keep us posted on the results!

    Instead of the online

    If you are trying to factory reset an insiders console that wont work

    For all troubleshootiing concerning insiders must be done on regedit /xboxinsiders

    And no the offline updater wont work with it unless you do it properly
