Xbox One won't stop recording

Discus and support Xbox One won't stop recording in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So, I went to settings and turned off broadcasting/DVR recording and it still records. What do I do?     Xbox One won't stop recording


    So, I went to settings and turned off broadcasting/DVR recording and it still records. What do I do? It keeps recording to the UPLOAD app but I can't delete or edit anything it's recording. The 500gb Harddrive is small enough that I don't need it full of
    invisible useless game clips I can't delete.

    Can I stop games from auto recording clips?

    But that will disable all recording. I just want to stop Madden from recording every touchdown without me saying Xbox record that, UFC from recording every KO without me saying Xbox record that, etc.

    Comcast DVR

    I can access my DVR recordings but they won't play back thru my xbox one, any thoughts?

    Xbox One won't stop recording

    All game clips are stored online on the servers, they take no space on your HDD.

    Heck I recorded a cool clip today and it never showed up. Even though it said clip recorded.

    Why can't you edit or delete them? It should be as easy as opening up the Upload app and going to your clips, then selecting the clip and choosing edit or delete from the menu.

    Nah my mate had that same problem, he'd record a clip and yet when he went to the studio the clip was no where to be found, it's only did it once or twice and hasn't done it since but i have definitely seen the ghost clip going on.

    On another note can game devs add the option to disable auto recordings, as if fifa didnt give me enough "diving save" clips i now have Ryse recording stuff and i don't even know what the focus of the recording was it doesn't even title them like fifa but
    go in arena and you get 30+ clips pretty rapid lol

    XBOX GAME BAR - How to recover corrupted screen recording file?

    Hi,

    Sorry but the video, as previously mentioned, will be lost now. The reason being is that the video container format Gamebar uses must finalise the file to complete the recording. This finalising process can only completed when the video recording is stopped in the app.

    Should the computer crash or lockup for some reason and stop the recording, then the recorded file won't be finalised and is, unfortunately, lost.

    I understand some third party recording applications such as OBS use different methods to record and may not be so susceptible to such issues.

    I assume by the 'playback feature' you mean the record time? The Windows Game Bar maximum record time that can be set is 4hrs. This can be changed in Windows Settings > Gaming > Captures.

    The Windows Game-Bar uses a video recording codec that requires the file to be finalised in order for it to be saved. This means that either if the recording is stopped via the Game Bar or the recording ends on its own once the maximum time is reached, the file should save. If for some reason there a fault or a system crash, the video recording won't save as it won't complete the 'finalising' process.

    Game capture menu is inaccessible.

    It's enabled; it just won't let me into menu #2. I mostly need in there so I can start and stop a recording exactly when I want to.

    5 Minutes of DVR gameplay

    I'm not sure of a 5 min replay option, but you can manually start and stop a Game DVR recording. "Xbox record this" only does the 30sec record, but by snapping out and starting a recording and snapping back in you can record as long as you want (I believe)
    and then do the same to stop recording.
