XBox One Won't Stay Off

So recently Xbox put out that update where the xbox makes a noise when it starts up/turns off even if you don't press the power button on the Xbox. It was then that I noticed my Xbox was turning on for no reason at all. Now it won't stay off unless I unplug
it. I can turn it off through the controller, settings, manually, whatever and as soon as it finishes the shut down process it turns right back on again. I contacted Microsoft, ran through all the troubleshooting, even did a factory reset and it still does
it. The Xbox is plugged directly into the wall so there's no surge protector causing issues.

Microsoft wants $135 to repair it and there's no way I'm going to pay $135 for them to tell me they don't know what's wrong and here's a factory reconditioned one with a 30 day warranty. The 4K Xbox comes out in a year and I'll just wait for that one.

Anybody have this issue besides me? I know the Xbox One is designed to stay on for prolonged periods of time but I don't think being on forever is what they had in mind.

Xbox won't stay turned off

Hi. My xbox was turning off and then yesterday I tired to turn it off and it turned off but a few seconds later it came back on by itself. It just keeps turning back on. Background downloads are turned off. Please help if you can. Thank you.

Unplug your plug&play cable it's probably trying to charge your controller

It's possible you got a bad install when getting the update can you try OSUDT' that will re-install the update to your console with USB thanks.
If it still persists contact the preview forums as there isn't much you can do to resolve it.

Uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off and unplugged the xbox, and titanfall still won't get past the main load screen. Stays there for about 10 seconds, then back to the xbox one home screen.

Xbox One Shuts off article. Depending on how the console performs afterwards, you may have to

setup a repair for the Xbox One. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, the description of your console's problem sounds like it may be hardware-related; should this be the case, I'm afraid you'd need to have it replaced or serviced. Please note that having an Xbox One serviced through Microsoft is no longer possible, as they have been discontinued for quite some time now.

• Are there any external devices connected to your console's USB ports?

• Just for confirmation, have you already tried unplugging your console for a few minutes (5 - 10 is enough) or using a different outlet?

• Could you try this other boot-up method and let me know if this makes a difference on the no-display issue?

Display reset:

- If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

- Press and hold the console's power button until it shuts down.

- Press and hold the Power button and the EJECT button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

- You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Do not let go until the second beep occurs.

* If you have an All-digital Xbox One S or an Xbox Series S, you must use the BIND button instead of EJECT.
