    Xbox One Won't Return From Dimmed Screensaver


    I recently sent my Xbox One in for service (to Laredo) and got back an Xbox that I assume was a new model. I assume this because I had to download all my content again.

    The issue that I am having started with this (new) Xbox One. The issue is that when the screen dims due to inactivity, it won't un-dim when I turn on the controller or move the controls or select any game or content. In other words, it remains dimmed, and
    will not undim even if I play a game or watch Netflix etc.

    Also, sometimes it responds to controller input and sometimes it does not. The solution seems to be to restart the Xbox, but this is annoying. This may be connected to the game Titanfall, since I've been playing a lot of that recently, but I can't confirm.

    Any suggestions on how to fix?

    screen is dimmed when watching movie on Xbox One

    Hi there,

    Sinds the update to window 10 layout on Xbox one the screen is dimmed when watching/streaming a movie on Xbox One.

    It look likes a sort of screensaver. I have to touch the xbox control and then the screen turns good.. and after a while the dimmed screen is turning up again.

    Can't find any setting about it to turn this off when watching a (stream)movie.

    How to fix this?

    Netflix Dimming

    The new Xbox screensaver keeps dimming while I'm watching Netflix. It's there anyway to completely disable the screensaver? It's getting incredibly annoying.

    Xbox One Won't Return From Dimmed Screensaver

    Try doing a hard reset buy holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec and then plug back in and power back on. Hopefully the problem will be resolved.

    I've been having this same issue recently. I've done the hard reset several times; it works to resolve it immediately, but the issue is recurring. Its a daily problem for me.

    I've been having this same issue recently. I've done the hard reset several times; it works to resolve it immediately, but the issue is recurring. Its a daily problem for me.
