    Xbox One won't record full clips


    My Xbox One won't record full clips when using the "Record what happened" feature. Been happening for a little while now. After just simply unplugging it for a soft reset, as a last resort I recently did a hard reset (restore games and apps) on the Xbox
    to see if that would fix it and it hasn't.

    My current settings are set to record 2 minute clips at 720p SDR.

    Internal storage is at 259.5 GB free of 780.9 GB

    External storage is at 1.4 TB free of 3.6 TB

    So I've got plenty of space.

    The last clip I tried recording was in CoD: Modern Warfare, which is on the external drive, while the capture location is the internal one. From what I can tell it started recording 2 minutes from when I pressed the "Record what happened," but it only recorded
    1 minute 4 seconds.

    The time before that I think it was set to 5 minute recordings and it only recorded 18 seconds.

    I couldn't find any recent posts about this issue, so is anyone else experiencing this still? Anything else I can try to fix it?

    I'm having the same issue. It occasionally will record the right time but most just like 7 seconds😪

    Is there somewhere I can go that shows what the limits are? I hardly ever record stuff so i wouldn't think i would be anywhere near any kind of storage limit.

    Also, just accidently recorded a clip while messing around and it recorded 1:57. And i just noticed a clip i made a week ago to test things out also recorded almost the full two minutes.

    you may have too many screenshots or Clips on the cloud or Xbox live try and delete some Clips and pics it helped doing that here.

    Funny story: i changed my capture settings from 45 seconds to 1 minute @ 1080p and... it recorded the full clip. Ive only done one clip so far but it seems a temporary fix is to just change the capture time frame, thats what worked last time. Or it could
    just be a fluke and this ONE time it recorded a full clip. Either way i hope this gets fixed someday.
