Xbox one won't record clips any longer than 24 seconds

I own the original xbox one.

I have been playing MW recently and wanted to capture the final moments of some games.

The clips that record are never more than 24-28 seconds on length despite asking the game either to capture the last few minutes or even recording entire sessions. My last session was 8m18s in length but the clip only recorded the first 24 seconds.

My video record setting is set to 720p (haven't tested 1080p) and i have 80 gb of harddrive space.

I have tried the powercycling advice offered on some other posts and have cleared additional storage space and all other game clips from my console.

Any ideas would be appreciated
