Xbox one won't recognize my Fallout 4 disk?

My Xbox one won't allow me to open my Fallout 4 disk. Every time I try to open up Fallout 4 it gives me an error message telling me to insert the disk if I own it or I'll need to purchase it from the store if I don't own the rights to play it. I have tried
taking out the disk and reinserting it about 6 times, I have tried restarting the console, turning off the console and rebooting it. I tried putting in another disk to see if it would read it and that worked. It also tells me that Fallout 4 is installed on
my hard drive. I would greatly appreciate any help. I have a level 70's character that I would rather not lose. Thanks for any help.

Fallout 3 DLC Disks

I have fallout 3 before GOTY and two disks that are DLC for Fallout 3 with two add-ons on each disk. I install everything with no problems but when i but in the fallout 3 disk like i would with Xbox 360 it would load the add-ons, but with the Xbox One it
don’t even recognize the DLC but when I go to game manage it shows fallout 3 and all 4 DLC on the drive. But if i put in one of the DLC disk in it recognizes that DLC, but how do I get it to recognize all four DLC????????

 

Weird noise/ Wont recognize game

I just bought Fallout 4 from Gamestop. When I tried to put it in my Xbox it wouldnt recognize the game. It just said make sure it is an xbox one game etc.

Also now when i put the disc is there is a weird sound. It only happens with my fallout 4 disc, no others. I checked the disc and there are no scratches or any damages. Any ideas?

 

I had this issue briefly. I'm also experiencing issues not being able to play blu ray or UHD blu ray discs. It would prompt me asking if I owned the game with the Fallout 4 disc in there. Was going to try out the Xbox One S with Fallout 4 to see if the game
performed better.

Idk. I think this is a software issue with the drive. It isn't reading blu ray or UHD blu ray for me and had a brief issue with Fallout 4 where it didn't recognize it as a game so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the disc drive is having issues
reading discs for some reason.

I contacted phone support and they said to wait on an "update" for the bluray app and that this was the issue. But now that I'm thinking about it...could be something more if it's affecting games as well. I need to check out my other games when I get home
and see if I'm having this same issue.

All of your other games work?

If you haven't yet, please take a look at the
troubleshooting guide regarding disc drive issues. You could also try
uninstalling the game,
power cycling your Xbox One console, and then reinstalling the content and trying again.

If you go through all the troubleshooting steps and nothing is working, your Xbox One may be in need of repairs. That process can be initiated via the
Online Service Center.
