    Xbox one won’t recognize external hard drive


    My Xbox one won’t recognize my external hard drive. I’ve done all the suggested fixes on Xbox help-any or have a fix that doesn’t re format the drive I’d love to hear it!TIA!

    Perhaps your child's external hard drive is not working. Is your child's external hard drive recognized by the Xbox One? Does it turn on any lights?

    In order to isolate a bit more the issue or determine if the external hard drive has any problem.
    Could you try connecting the drive to a PC and see if it gets recognized from there?

    Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear that the issue is persistent on the External Hard Drive.

    Have you tried connecting the hard drive to a PC?

    Does the PC recognize the external hard drive?

    Does the external hard drive meet the specifications for the Xbox One?

    If the problem persists, I recommend to try a different external hard drive on the Xbox if possible. One thing we want to make sure, Are the ports on the Xbox One functioning?
