    XBOX ONE won't recognize cable box...


    It seems that some people have found a similar problem with their cable boxes. Up until about a month ago, my One recognized my Bright House receiver just fine and all of the Kinect commands worked. I went out of town for a few days and came back to find
    my cable box would turn on, but no image would show/audio would play and my Xbox would just flash a screen saying that the HDMI wasn't connect, when it clearly was.

    I've disconnected it several times and done a few hard boots, but nothing has fixed the issue. Curious to find out if this is an ongoing problem with Bright House or the Xbox One itself. I had BH come over and the guy said he had the same issue, and ended
    up just using two separate inputs, one for the cable box and the other for the Xbox, which completely defeats the purpose of the proclaimed "ONE" title.

    Anyone find a resolution to this?

    X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

    For some reason the xbox one won't recognize my Xfinity X1 Platform box to switch channels on my cable box. Anybody else having this problem with the smaller buddy boxes as Comcast call them? I've tried entering Xfinity & Comcast and still nothing.

    Not surprising ( update issue )

    December marked my one year with Xbox one ... new update came out now it constantly logs off live . Won't recognize my cable box and Kinect works when it feels like it ... way to go MICROSOFT ... Knew I shoulda bought
    the kids a Ps4 this Christmas.

    xbox won't change channels through voice commend nor controller

    If I choose surewest as my cable box it won't recognize if I "enter it" as vip1200. If I choose automatic it says "surewest (remote code c2586)"

    Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

    I'm having the same problem. My TV is not recognizing the xbox one thru hdmi but it recognizes the cable box and computer. I've tried different hdmi ports on different TVs, it's not working properly. Somehow the xbox one can still turn on and off the TV.

    Can I view TV On My Xbox One without a Cable or Satellite connected?

    I'm not an admin, but I can confidently tell you you'll not be able to watch TV without cable or satellite. The way it works, is you have a cable box and run that to your Xbox One. Then you run your Xbox one to your TV. Basically your cable transfers
    through you cable box > xbox one > your TV. If you don't have cable and a cable box hooked up you won't be able to watch TV.

    You cannot as far as I know. The Xbox One cannot control those features of the Cable Box. But I do not have cable so I haven't tested it. I have heard it won't control that or the DVR on your cable box.
