    Xbox one won't receive party or game invites from players who aren't in my friends list.


    For the last few months I haven't been able to consistently receive party or game invites from other players online on my Xbox One. I know I cant because the invite will popup on my laptop but not my tv. I've tried everything to fix it, checked to see my
    notifications are on, hard reset my xbox, turned "receive Invites" to block and back to everybody, removed and re-downloaded my account, cleared persistent storage for blu ray discs. I never signed up to the preview program. Its really getting ridiculous
    and I'm fed up with it.

    Win10 Xbox App not receiving party invites which appear on Xbox One notifications

    Windows 10 Xbox Application does not receive party invites/notifications sent from Xbox One Console.

    I prefer to use my Windows 10 PC for chat since i can use a USB Jabra Headset. I can do this when I start the party in the Xbox App then invite people to my party. I can also join my friends parties, it comes up to say join party if it is an open party.

    When playing with others from LFG sites that aren't on my Xbox friends list (usually invites from LFG sites like destiny tracker/destiny LFG) I receive the invite on my Xbox One console as a notification to join party, it works fine on the console.

    I do not receive the same invite in the Windows 10 Xbox Application, I think I should from what I understand. The Windows 10 Xbox App is working for other things, such as regular messages, which do show on both the Xbox One console and Windows 10 Xbox application.

    Any ideas? Should this work? I assume so.

    Not receiving game invites

    I have been unable to receive game invites from people I find off LFG sites for some time now. I can get invites from people already on my friends list but not from people who aren't. Is there some networking setting I need to change or some other issue?
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Xbox one won't receive party or game invites from players who aren't in my friends list.

    You would need to change your privacy settings to allow communications with players that are not your friends to see the invites from people that are not your Friends.

    I'm sorry to see any issues with notifications! I'd like to clarify one thing with you. You said you "hard reset" your console. Did you do this by holding the power button or by doing a

    full factory reset    ? Let me know so we can determine next steps. Xbox one won't receive party or game invites from players who aren't in my friends list. :)

    If someone blocks you that you where just talking to

    Blocking another player prevents you from receiving the player’s messages, game invites, and party invites. It also prevents the affected player from seeing your online activity, and, if applicable, removes the player from your friends list.

    Hi, I'm Luis a Xbox user just like you. Thanks for reaching out us here.

    Blocking another player should prevent you from receiving that player’s messages, game invites, and party invites. It also prevents the player from seeing your online activity and removes them from your friends list, if they were on it.

    Are you getting those messages from the same account?
