Xbox One wont read any discs entered

    Xbox One wont read any discs entered


    I have been trying to play some games on my xbox but it keeps coming up with two variations of an error basically saying the disc is dirty or damaged even though they are clean and almost new i dont know what to do to fix this. I have tried hard resetting and other discs but neither worked. The console has never had a deep clean as i am scared to open it incase i break something. Any help is appreciated.

    If its not reading any discs of any kind and you have done a full power cycle, then it sounds like the drive is faulty and would need to be repaired. Unfortunately, the rules of the forum do not allow self repair advice.

    I'm hoping at least one of the two consoles I get tomorrow work without any major issues. That way I can at least play one and send the other back to get fixed.

    Sounds like you've got a broken disc drive.

    Already reading about this happening to others in the support forum. Along with people stuck at the green screen

    Had to figure there would be a percentage of broken systems right out of the gate. Hope it turns out to be a low percentage.
