    Xbox one won’t read 3TB external hard drive


    I have a 3TB external hard drive that I’ve been using for that past and a half. It has worked great up until this point, the xbox started randomly not reading it and I have tried every solution that comes up. Someone please help me??

    Can you try a different usb cable? maybe this one is faulty

    I had same problem not so long ago lets call the usb ports 1 2 and 3 on your xbox if you originally had your external drive formatted and installed on say usb 2 make sure you always plug the drive in usb 2 on your xbox i think it might be like a drive
    designation thing ie cdrive etc.

    Try different USB ports on the console, and check the USB cable, and the connection points of the cable and the Hard drive itself.
