Xbox One won't power on and power supply is different from images I find online...

My daughter received an Xbox One for Christmas. She tried to turn it on tonight and it won't turn on. The power box attached to the wall outlet has a light that is orange, so that has power. The second 'box' that box plugs into usually has a green light
showing but that green light isn't on and her console won't come on anymore. I'm having a problem when I read the troubleshooting tips online because the photos and information only show one 'box' between the power outlet on wall and where the HDMI cord attaches
to the back of the console. Even the quick setup manual included with her console only shows one. This Xbox One has two 'boxes'. She has one box that plugs into the wall outlet which then plugs into another box which has the HDMI cord that connects to the
back of her console. Maybe I'm dense or just haven't found the right link, but I cannot find anything about troubleshooting with a mention of the second 'box'. Can anyone help me?

My Xbox 360S power supply is not working. The Xbox is from the US but i need a power supply for India. I need to buy one but cannot find an original MS Power supply online. Amazon ets only have other brands.

Where can i buy a new Microsoft Xbox 360S power supply in India??

xbox one won't turn on won't even make a sound. Orange blinking light on power supply. I've tried changing to different outlets and it didn't work. I don't have any thing plugged into my console besides the power supply and HDMI. Nothing is working.

 

There isn't a 2nd box.

There's the cable with the plug on it & that slots into the power brick,then a built in cable that comes from the power brick & plugs into the back of your console.

Not sure what you've got but it isn't any official power brick.

Was the console bought new & where from?

I bought it new from Amazon in December, 2015. I've seen the link you provided and that's why I ask about it. Is there anyway to upload a photo to this discussion?

The brick with orange light plugs directly into your console. Your HDMI goes from console to TV/monitor. The only other possible box would be an internet router and that would connect to console via wireless/wireless.

 

Only guessing could it be one of them power surge boxes? Again that's just a complete stab in the dark !!

 

Your power brick, (the one with the orange light), plugs from your power source(i.e. Power outlet or plug), into the power brick then into the actual Xbox. The HDMI cord plugs from your XBOX to your television...good luck...
