    Xbox One won't play discs after early November update.


    Hello all,

    Earlier this week, I noticed that my xbox one will not play xbox one games, xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible, blurays or DVDs. I haven't noticed before now that it was broken because 95% of my games are digital. The last time I successfully watched
    a DVD was on Halloween, so I know it was working at that point in time. That leads me to believe it was broken during the early November update that added backwards compatibility.

    I thought I remembered hearing people have this issue back when they were a part of the early access program, or whatever it's called. Hoping to hear some good news about a quick fix, so I can start watching some of my DVDs. Thanks.

    Can't update game, can't play it

    A friend gave me some of his game discs for my kids, NHL 11 requires and update, then won't update, so won't play.

    Anyone help me out?

    Xbox One is really closer to $600

    I already have Xbox Live, so I won't be buying a year in November. Won't need a headset any time soon Cruz I'll be playing Watch Dogs & BF4 single player. Will cost me roughly $534 after tax. Might get a play n charge.

    Did everything except request a repair. Since it happened in an update, it must be a software issue and not a hardware issue.

    Have you tried updating the blu-ray player software? Last I checked mine there was an update available.

    I couldn't see an update, but I did uninstall it and reinstall it without any success.

    Xbox One won't play discs after early November update.

    Maybe the November update was just a coincidence? My disk drive is on it's way out. It's been making a griding noise now for a couple of weeks and it's only a matter of time before it goes. I am saving up some cash to buy an Elite should one become available
    soon. Sorry that I could not be of more help.
