Xbox one won't play any games

Since I purchased my xbox one in February I have had issues with every game I own. I have spent hours on the phone with support. I have even sent my system back, only to have it return with the same issues. These issues persist in both hard copies and
downloaded games, and the issues only got worse as updates came out.

Call of duty ghost: hard copy: gives disk read error and crashes back to title screen

Forza 5: hard copy: freezes on many tracks and force closes to dashboard.

Titan fall: freezes when trying to load any dlc map after 1st dlc and now is impossible to get into any match

Dead rising: downloaded copy: freezes at title screen or on mission 0 load screen

At this point I have a $600 paper weight/ blu ray player.

Al apps and event else works correctly.

I have tried:

Clearing persistent storage

Hard resets

Clearing alternste mac addresses

My nat type is open

Tried downloading games offline then connecting to the Internet for updates

I honestly feel that I shouldn't have to do any more than pop the blu ray disk in the drive and wait for it to download. My roommate has an xbox one and that is all he does. It is not op error since as stated before I have installed games with xbox support
on the phone following instructions step by step. Al my roommate does is pop the disk in and everything works as it should.

I really don't feel like sending my xbox back again since I don't want this one back I wanta new one, and paying 400 to Microsoft for2 weeks is not an option.

Sorry about your problem with your Xbox One X.

Things you need to try:

Make sure the console has plenty of space and is well ventilated

The console must be connected either directly into the mains supply at the wall socket or to a known working power strip that does not contain a surge protector. Surge protectors can cause havoc with the Xbox One (all models) as the power supplies are already
surge protected.

If you are still having issues, you should return your console. It may be quicker to contact the store, or online retailer you purchased it rather than Microsoft, as they may be able to replace this console for you sooner.

Thanks, yeah Microsoft said to ship it in and in 21-30 days I'd get it back. I just setup and RMA to MS Store online and picked a new (non-Scorpio) edition from Best Buy and it works. Well except for one thing, when I hook my cable box up to the xbox it
fails the 4k tests and will only display in 1080p. However when I hook it up to the TV with the same cable, it will do 4k @60Hz. What's up with that?

 

Unfortunately it sounds like sending it in again for repair/replacement is the only option. This time may I make a suggestion? Put a note in the box with the Xbox explaining exactly what's going on. That way the engineer will know what to look for. I'd also
be inclined to give Microsoft another call and explain to them of your intentions and make them aware you require a replacement. Hope you get it sorted.
