Xbox One won't load/start games and movies from discs

OK so I was playing MEA and decided to take a break and when I come back a few hours later. I start the game and I'm waiting for it too load it gets about 25% then the white bar stops and I can't get to game's main menu screen. I take out the disc and clean it and put back in and same thing. I try another game DAI and all I get is a black screen. I then tried Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and the same thing with MEA. I put in a brand new DVD and it won't play (and that has been a whole another growing problem with movies and TV shows on DVD and Blu-Ray), I try RE3 a game I own digitally and it plays just fine but since most of the games I own on discs and I take care of my discs. So you can see my problem.

Also I don't have a lot of money. So I can't just buy a new or refurbished XB1 or Xbox Series X (provided I could even find one).

Can you check if your console can read DVD discs please? To do this just insert a DVD movie disc. If it works, the console will load the Blu-ray Player app (make sure this this downloaded from the Xbox Store).

Note that the disc you try must be a DVD not an Xbox One or a Blu-ray movie disc.

If your console won't start the DVD movie disc then this indicates a fault with your Xbox One Blu-ray drive. These drives contain two lasers, one for DVD's and one for Blu-ray discs. Xbox One disc games are on Blu-ray, Xbox 360 games are DVD's.

Yes, I did that before the problem started.

It's still reading the discs it's just not loading the games.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.

Select Shutdown (energy saving) mode.

Perform a hard power cycle by holding down the Xbox button  on the console for 10 seconds. Once the console has completely shut down, press the Xbox button  on the console again to restart it.

Try your disc again. Wait a few seconds to see if the console recognizes it. If the console can now read the disc, you can revert to Sleep mode.
