Xbox One won't load dashboard

My xbox one won't load the dashboard. When i turn on the console the Green loading screen shows and once it is finished "loading" the screen goes black and i can't get the xbox to respond at all. I tried everything on the xbox support site (Tried plugging
in thumbstick with OSUDT2 file and couldn't get the Xbox to "take" the update from the USB). Was really hoping there was some other option than to Restore factory settings as thats what the support chat told me was the only other option, as i live in a place
with restrictive data usage limits as well as slow speeds so redownloading everything on the console would be extremely time consuming and probably cause me to go over my data limit. Help?

Xbox one dashboard won't load.

recently my xbox started shutting down by itself while i was playing. And now the problem is gone but my dashboard wont load at all. I can start xbox and access movies and all that other stuff but the little dashboard screen to the
left wont work . I cant access it to send messages or see any of my friend etc. But i can play games online no problem. I tried hard reset and disconnected cables behind xbox for few seconds. Problem is still there.while playing a game When i press the big
bright button in the middle of controller it vibrates as it would try to turn pop dashboard on but nothing happens.

let's see if this clears things up. when i turn on my xbox it won't load to my gt or anything. i guess you would say the dashboard won't load up

 

Quick question...

Are you on the normal dashboard or are you in the Preview Program on the New Xbox One Experience dashboard?

If you're on the normal dashboard, what prompted the green loading screen? (Did you have a console update or is this a new console)?
