Xbox One just updated on its own without warning. At first I thought my console had home screen had loaded improperly and rearranged all the windows into a weird layout. Then, sadly, I realized that this was a the new layout. After a few second I couldn't
stand looking at it. So I tried to go into my settings to see if there was a way to change it, but I can't find anything that lets you reload to the last update or change the layout back to what it was.

Afterwards I figured I could just deal with it, if I simply ignored it and played Fallout 4. But I realized that Xbox one had logged me out. When I tried to log back in I get this notification that "another user on this device uses this Microsoft account,
so you can't add it here." Which doesn't make sense at all because I'm trying to log in not add one. And where the heck is the other user? I have one controller. Ive tried shutting it off and on multiple times but nothing works. So now I just spent $60 and
an obscene amount of time of a character in fallout that is just wasting away because my Xbox One is now a useless paper that wont let me access any of my apps unless I'm logged in.

Xbox live

I bough a new Xbox the xbon 360 go and transferred all of my games over and gamertag and everything but It won't let me stay signed into xbox live I manage to get singed in but only when I turn xbox off the back on again but stays signed In For about 10-20
seconds then signs me back out is there any reason why this is happening? On my old xbxPC it was fine xbox in same place as old one but won't let me stay signed into live wh. ???

SIGN IN ERROR !!

I could not sign into my xbox one account , so I tried to remove my account and put it back on again but it won't even let me add a new account on my xbox one it says " there was a problem, and we couldn't continue. (0x80a40002) PLEASE HELP ME

It says that I can sign in but I won't let me sign in on the Xbox you guys telling me that the account works but it's not working on the Xbox

I'm having the same problem but I can't sign in my profile. Their are two accounts on my xbox one but only the one in the first slot is signing in, the other one just takes me at a blank screen. So I tried to remove the account and add it back but it won't
even let me do that as well. It sits at a loading screen and I've turned on and off the xbox plenty of times and it still won't let me sign in. So I went to my 1st account and it signs in flawlessly but I noticed as I go to my notifications and click the icon,
it doesn't respond. I don't know whats going on, maybe it was the update, or maybe it was the lack of an update because when I got an update error I too turned off the xbox and on again and the update msg was gone. Microsoft please fix this!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the freezing situation, but I want you not to worry about it because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I
would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and perform a quick power cycle:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

If even after going through the previous troubleshooting steps the same situation is recurring, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then
restart your console.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP)
Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you
to sign in to the account.
