    Xbox One won't find any DLNA content after update


    Is anyone else having this issue?

    I have a bunch of movies & Tv shows on my computer hard drive and had always used Serviio to stream it to my xbox, but it isn't working anymore after the update. Since then the xbox has been unable to see the Serviio server or my computer at all for that
    matter.

    Any solutions? Or is anyone else having the same issue?

    I could not find any DLNA features in Xbox One. I have a DLNA server but could not find any way to access it.

    xbox one can't access files on a network ???

    The Xbox One will let you stream content to the console using DLNA, although on day one there's no native support at this time to initiate those streams, so the console acts as a receiver only.

    That means Xbox One won't go out and find content on your network, so it can't retrieve those files on your DLNA-compatible media server, for example, that all your other connected devices enjoy.

    You can however push content to the console - how you do that depends on the operating system of the platform - for example with Windows 8:
    windows.microsoft.com/.../play-to

    This isn't true. Xbox supports "DLNA / UPnP" which are universal protocols. It doesn't matter what software I use to cast, Windows, IOS, etc. As long as the casting app is compliant to the UPnP/DLNA protocol then the Xbox should be able to play casted content.

    Are you saying that the Xbox one is no longer DLNA/UPnP compliant and therefore no longer supports this protocol after the update?

    I am an app developer for one of the 3rd part apps that cast to Xbox One. What changes specifically need to be implemented in my app to account for the Xbox One no longer being UPnP/DLNA compliant?
