Xbox One won't control my HW150PVR tuner

Having the same problem as @JWelhouse with HW180STB. Xbox w/ Kinect doesn't recognize my TV voice commands. I've tried all the codes, both new and old versions in set up, etc. Maybe it has to do with the fact that my Kinect is above my TV and the HW180 is
below the TV. Buying an IR receiver to place on the HW180 and see if that helps. Will update in a few days...

I'm having the same issue as everyone else here, I sent the below text in an email to mediasonic and they said it's an xbox issue and they have no fix.

I've spent quite a few hours on the Mediasonic and Microsoft forums the last few weeks and I can't seem to find a solution to this. My PVR won't accept commands from my Xbox One. I've tried the three different remote codes that I've seen online (N4076, N2058
and N2851) and one does nothing, one will make the screen black for about 10 seconds and one seems to be receiving the IR signals but they seem to be wrong. I've read that a firmware update may solve these issues but I've also read we should contact you before
trying to upgrade. My system information is below:

SW Version: CL503883 131012 v1

HW Version: 7816-1237-ATSC-V2

 

Oh, it's the hw150 I'm referring to above.

 

My brother is having the same problem. He got his HW150PVR (and Xbox) about 8 months after I did. My HW150PVR is working fine with my Xbox.

It's strange since my brother's HW150PVR was working fine with his Xbox during the first three months after he got it. Then it got worse (sometimes wouldn't change channels) and now it's not doing it at all unless I go through the TV code settings again.

It's funny because the on/off function still works fine. Just having problems with changing the channels.

 

I got my Homeworx HW150PVR today from Amazon and I was a little disappointed to learn that the XBOX one doesn't change the channels. I do use a kinect with mine. I've tried using the different Mediasonic and Homeworx set ups. Any advice would be helpful.

Any news on this issue? I've posted my info before but still haven't found a response.

 

I just repositioned the IR sensor over the USB port and it works perfectly now.

 

Update on the HW180: First I bout the Monoprice IR cables and does did not work. Do not buy those. Then I bought these:

and it finally worked, atleast for changing channels. Volume and power still don't work although I think its because my TCL Roku TV is not in Xb1's database yet.

Run into this problem so maybe it will help someone out: The HW180 was sending the wrong channel number to whenever I would try to change to NBC. Apparently, Oneguide says there is another NBC channel but I guess I don't get it and the command was going
to this nonexistent channel. To fix it, I said the actual name of the station (Watch WJTV) and Oneguide automatically changed the Watch NBC command to the WJTV station. Pretty cool.

 

I have the homeworx 180STB. It worked great with my kinect for weeks, but now i have problems. When i select a channel to watch, the digits appear on the tv but then it just re-tunes the channel i am already on. I've tried everything i can think of...
Factory reset homeworx, deleted /reconfigured the xbox's cable box settings, etc. When i use kinect to select channel, i watch it recieve the "2...4...-...1" but nothing happens, i type 24-1 with the homeworx remote and it looks the same on-screen but
works. I'm frustrated. Anyone else see anything like this?!

 

EDIT: i can recreate the above error if i add "enter" to the end of the channel command when typed from the remote. Using channel24-1 as an example :

Typing: 2....4....-...1 changes the channel properly, with a THREE SECOND DELAY AFTER the last keystroke is entered, then it changes. .

Typing: 2....4....-....1...enter re-tunes the present channel, INSTANTLY, exactly like when the kinect tries to change channels.

It REALLY seems that there is an unneccessary keystroke after the numbers are typed. Please fix this xbox!
