Xbox one won't connect to wireless

My xbox one that I received yesterday I attempted to set up at about 11pm last night but constantly got "Couldn't connect. Check your connection name and password" even though I was putting in my internet connection correctly. It worked once and allowed
me to finish start up, but it didn't load my gamerpic or gamerscore and when I attempted to click on an ad on the home page or open the "use a code" in the shop nothing would happen. I thought I'd try disconnecting from the wireless and try again, but now
it only gives me the previous problem or occasionally getting as far as "Checking connection" before saying to try restarting the modem and other basic troubleshooting. When I first attempted this morning, it did go straight to "checking connection" on the
first try but then told me it couldn't connect and that there was no wireless set up.

Even though it was suggested my problem was due to the lizard squad problem when I initially posted about this last night, I am still having the same problem when I attempted to connect this morning-after the attack has been deemed over.

Any help is appreciated.

Xbox wont connect at all wirelessly.

My xbox one wont connect to any wireless network. I've tried at least 5 different wireless networks and it wont connect. I think my xbox won't connect wirelessly. Anyone else have this problem?

 

Xbox slim wireless to ASUS RT-N66U works very poor.

My Xbox One won't connect to the 5GHz band of my Asus N66U wireless router.

 

Have you tried connecting it via cable instead of wifi

 

A Hard reset should do the trick.

Power off the console by holding down the power button on the console for 10 seconds.

It couldn't hurt to power cycle your router and/or modem as well by unplugging from the wall for 30 secs.

Turn everything back on.

XBL was SOL last night due to the DDos attack... Delete your wireless info.... Hard restart both your router and XB1 and try again.... also I am not sure how it works.. but some one here can explain about opening your NAT

I tried resetting the console, but trying to set up the wireless to my home's connection still tells me it can't connect and to check the network name and password, but I'm using all the correct info.

I can try a power cycle on the router or modem later, but not any time soon as someone needs it for work at home stuff for the time being

 

I had this issue and that was it... my router needed to be restarted... only takes about 3 minutes... can you just wire it for now?

You would be surprised how easy some issues are resolved with simple fixes. That and you didnt come in screaming like a child for the end of MS and all things gaming demanding free games and threatening to use another product!

And we wonder why customer service for video gaming is the worst when it comes to patience.
