  2. Xbox app and Xbox 1 aren't connecting

So, I'm trying to connect my Dell Inspiron 15 7567 laptop up to my Xbox 1 with the xbox app. I've already looked through the xbox settings and it should allow for connections from other devices, and the xbox and my computer are all up to date, but they won't
connect. We are on the same wifi (the 2 and 5 GHz are seperated already) and I am signed in on the console, yet my computer won't recognize the xbox 1. The console is on, the app is open on my computer, but it won't connect. I also tried connecting using the
IP address (I tried all 3 presented because I wasn't sure which one to use), but the app keeps saying it can't find the xbox with the IP provided. I tried shutting down and turning back on the computer to see if the app was just being wonky, but that didn't
work either. I can't connect to the xbox at all. Please help

Xbox One won't connect to my Xbox app on my laptop.

Same here. Everything was working fine today at 2AM Eastern when I went to bed. As of 6:30 PM Eastern the Xbox one Smartglass nor the Xbox Beta App can find my Xbox One. I have not changed anything and to my knowledge no updates have come out for my PC,
Apps, or Xbox. My network settings are they same as they have always been. I triple checked all of the settings on PC and Xbox and everything is as it should be. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Xbox One won't connect to my Xbox app on my laptop.

I started having similar issues with my windows 10 xbox app and my XB1 not connecting a few days ago. it worked prior and nothing new in network. both are wire connected, also tried WiFi no go. Xbox 360 can not connect with Smart glass either, Same with
Xbox 1 (using different versions of Xbox SmartGlass. Smartglass gives 0x80030004 error

everything was reboot and power cycled.

  9. Hi,

An interruption with the Xbox Live server is one possible reason as to why you're encountering this issue. To resolve this, we suggest that you perform the following troubleshooting solutions:

    Solution 1: Clear MAC address

    1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select Network.
    5. Select Network settings.
    6. Select Advanced settings.
    7. Select Alternate MAC address.
    8. Select Clear.
    9. Select Restart. Check if the Xbox app on your Windows 10 device will detect the console.

Solution 2: Power cycle your console and network hardware

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for five minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.
    2. Restart your Xbox One console:
      1. Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.
      2. Select Settings.
      3. Select Restart console.
      4. Select Yes to confirm.

Note: If you’re unable to access the guide, or if the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console
        again to restart.
    3. After five minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state. Check if the Xbox app on your Windows 10 device will detect your console.

Keep us posted with the progress. We'd be glad to provide you additional assistance.

  11. We suggest checking the Xbox app's network status. Refer to the steps below:

    1. On your PC, launch the Xbox app.
    2. Select Settings > Network.
    3. Under Network status, make sure Internet connection says Connected.
If you can't see Connected, that means there's an issue with your network. We recommend restarting your network hardware. Refer to the steps below:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.
    2. Wait five minutes.
    3. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
    4. Plug in the rest of your hardware and check to see if you still experience the same connection problem as before.
    Notify us with the results.
