Xbox One wont connect hardwired with **** tg862

I just bought a brand new Xboxone 1 TB system because my old systems ethenet port was broken. or so iwas told by microsoft. I have an xfinity **** tg8g2, 2 in 1 gateway. I used to have a computer hardlined and my old 500 g xboxone hardlined at the same time.
Months back the 500 g xbox one hardwired stop working and thru talking with xbox support the conclussion was the ethernet was broken. All wireless work just fine, ive had no issues connecting all my xboxes and computers wireless. So as of today no xboxes wil
connect thru the ethernet ports. I have a pc hooked thru the ethernet port and its works fine as long as i only use port one. Ports 2,3,4 dont work. I have tried hooking both xboxes to all ports and none of them work. I have read multiple forums about ****
tg 862 poor performance connectivity issues for xboxones. I just wana play my xone games hardwired. Wireless works but some games are just too laggy. Many post talk about bridging the **** or port forwarding. It may even be a defect in the ****. Please help.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My Xbox wont connect to my **** TG862 cable router.

This worked for me ( Aris Tg862)

Changed modem wireless settings from auto channel to manual channel 1, in the wireless settings of the Tg862. Then searched for my network on xbox360 by the ADVANCED OPTIONS, where the networks are displayed, Choose WPA PASSPHRASE then enter your password.
Should work after that.

Sorry! I missed out the link-local IP address (169.254....).

Could you try connect the Xbox with a different Ethernet cable if the one you're currently using has become faulty.

Still stuck? Restore the TG862G to factory defaults. If you use PPPoE/A connectivity you have to know the username and password for your ISP's authentication method.

Unplug all devices from the TG862 except from the power supply. Locate the reset button, press and hold for 30 seconds. Power off the TG862 for 2 minutes. Reconnect everything back up again. Power on the TG862 and wait one minute for it to connect properly.

Access the TG862 web-config page. Reconfigure wireless settings for this device (manually) and make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is ticked "enable". Save/Apply and reboot the TG862.

Post back and let us know how that goes.

 

Sounds like a bad gateway ? (ALL Gateways are bad for xbox's imo) ......get a modem only and a gaming router (netgear is xbox friendly) and start playing !!! or , you can try to bridge this and forward that and maybe it will work sometimes....
