Xbox One won't boot

    Xbox One won't boot


    As of yesterday night, my Xbox One has been failing to boot. I turn on the power, and occasionally I'll get to the green screen where the Xbox logo flies in from off screen. I say occasionally, because this doesn't always happen and sometimes I'm stuck
    sitting endlessly at a black screen after powering on. If I make it to the green screen and pass it, it then goes to another endless black screen. It does not even have the white Xbox logo in center screen or the top right corner. It just sits there doing
    seemingly nothing. I have tried a lot of different things, such as completely unplugging my Xbox. I have unplugged my HDMI cable, power cable, and my Kinect. I then plug in just the HDMI and power and it doesn't seem to help. I have ejected my disk, but it
    seems like when I have it in is when it actually gets to the green screen. I've done many hard resets, by completely powering down and what not. Any help is appreciated, I really don't want to be stuck with a $500 paperweight lol.

    xbox one won't boot

    Display doesn't come up, can't reboot, need to register to try and return for repairs, can't register, keeps telling to try again later. Bought thru amazon. Microsoft tells us on the phone they can't help with repairs since it was bought thru Amazon

    First of all, thank you very much for your help. I tried the method you said, and the power supply is normal. Looks like the console is damaged. Thank you again.

    First, check this page to see how to reset the power supply's surge protection:

    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/reset-power-supply-solution     It involves taking out the power cable from the console and power supply for 10 seconds at least.

    If your power supply is fine please try the following:

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back in.

    2. Press and hold the BIND button (for connecting controllers) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox power button on the console.

    3. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps,
    that also means this failed.

    4. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone. When the console restarts, see if you can press "continue" or if you did that and it still won't boot, please select "troubleshooting" and then "factory reset keeping games and
    apps."

    If you can't get the console to boot and the power supply is fine according to the troubleshooter up there I provided, please try another power supply if possible, from a friend perhaps, and if still nothing and both power supplies are operating fine, your
    console will need to be repaired as it is damaged.

    And out of warranty repair is usually around $135 USD for the original Xbox one.

    If the steps that Chief supplied to you don't work I would highly recommend starting the repair/warranty process. Sounds like you might have an internal problem.
