Xbox one won't add new account

    Xbox one won't add new account


    My wife's Xbox one had a strange thing happen. After Twitch tried to update, the Xbox one began trying to do a full system update. An error kept coming up (didn't get the code for it), and after I fully factory reset it that fixed that issue.

    However, now it won't allow her to add her profile, it just acts like its taking you to the email and password part, but instead just states that it wasn't able to continue and to try again. After another reset of everything, the same issue stands.

    Also it randomly turned itself on without the controller or power button being touched.

    Just do these steps:

    1: Google Delaware addresses and grab one.
    2: create a new xbox live account on xbox.com (make sure its the US site)
    3: Add the new address when finishing the setup of the account in the billing section.
    4: Add PayPal as your billing method
    5: Buy a game from the marketplace, this is again on the website making sure its the US region **make a note of your new gamertag or change it (free 1st time)**
    6: Sign into your xbox one with this new account and download game from the store.
    7: Done!! You can now either keep signed in on your new profile or sign back your main account and play the game once ready.

    SIGN IN ERROR !!

    I could not sign into my xbox one account , so I tried to remove my account and put it back on again but it won't even let me add a new account on my xbox one it says " there was a problem, and we couldn't continue. (0x80a40002) PLEASE HELP ME

    There were some sign-in issues earlier today, which would be the cause of not being able to add a new profile to your console. Give your Xbox a
    power cycle and try it again now. You can always check the status of Xbox Live here: https://xbox.com/status

    As for the random power-ons, most cases I've seen is due to the console being plugged into a power strip or surge protector. These devices could affect the power draw of the console or cause various kinds of electrical hiccups, which
    includes turning on randomly. The power supply of the Xbox has its own surge protection, so you could plug it into the wall outlet and see if it helps things.

    The xbox one x won't let me add an account, and neither will my 2 old xbox ones. All do the grey screen.

    The old xboxes say the new update went through. The xbox one x says the same, the update happened the same time my xboxes stopped letting me add my profile. Does that mean all 3 will need this offline update?

    I set up my account to play and my kids play under that account how to move to their family account

    Game progress can't be transferred, unless they keep using the same email, or they add a new email to add to this account (won't be the best as will be the same as keeping this account )
