Xbox one with Kinect.

^Dragon Age, BF4, Forza, Forza H2, Ryse, Kinect Sports, Fantazia plus many other games all use Kinect Lei Fang so to say its not being used for gaming purposes is simply wrong.

 

Lei, have you even tried to use the kinect?? I am just curious... normally when people say what you just did... just to navigate or no games utilize it... usually means they never even tried it...

To be fair, Lei, the OP was asking a question which was answered in the first response, and then went on to inquire about one specific game when it comes to Kinect. He wasn't asking and/or seeking general opinions of the peripheral.

I've had my Xbox One w/Kinect since November of last year. The only thing I use Kinect for is to say "Xbox record that". Today, I would purchase an Xbox One without Kinect.

 

Don't believe this "if you don't have Kinect plugged in, your console will function 10% better". Xbox 1 has the processing power and RAM to utilise Kinect without being a burden on the system.

Hi Lei Fang. I feel sorry that your missing out on wanting to use Kinect and multiplayer. Those two help enrich your Xbox experience. Zoo Tycoon and Kinect Sports Rivals, voice chat, voice commands, other games, the Kinect can read Xbox QR codes without
having to type in telegraph-style the what it is 25 digit code using the onscreen keyboard or SmartGlass. That's old school lol. Waving it in front of the Kinect sensor is what I call Next Gen so easy and quick. Just like Pay Wave which Visa and MasterCard
have.

 

Make sure to pick up D4: Dark dreams don't die. Best use of kinect in a game so far. Besides head tracking in certain games that is.

 

I can honestly say that apart from xbox record that i cant think of any other time i even think of kinect.

Kinect in games is dead apart from noise recognition which wil work well in some games.

The main problem is theres nowhere to go with kinect and if there is devs are taking too long to find it.

@Eggnogga you nor the OP own the thread if Lei Fang wants to give her opinion on Kinect she is entitled. Just cos the original question has been answered by one person whats wrong with a different view?

Just because this is an xbox forum doesnt mean everyone has to be pro kinect.

 

See what I mean Lei... you are giving an opinion on something you know nothing of. You never used it. Never tried it but yet will tell someone do not even try it as it has no use... It is because of statements and reasons like that that the kinect got a
bad rep from the get go.

Now if you used it.... and said you did not like it and it was not for you... that is one thing... but if you are basing your opinions off of what you read by other people who might or might not tried it out themselves... well that is just wrong...

level 5 member, you should know how things (are supposed to) work here.

 

Boas my good buddy just because you don't think of using Kinect doesn't mean othesr don't, I use it in every game I have that has the features, currently loving it in Dragon Age, Your doing a Lei yourself here saying games don't utilize it, well sorry
mate but One games do, the majority of my One games have a Kinect feature of some sort so statements like your and Leis are clearly incorrect. Both of you are giving opinions as fact on a piece of kit neither of you own in this gen (I know you had the previous
version, and I also know your not anti kinect) I actually agree with Eggnogga about Lei's post. No offence intended towards Lei by me or Eggnogg but her post was way off target.

 

Kinect makes navigation more quick. And Kinect does not reduce power.

To rephrase; not having it does not make Xbox One more powerful

I have never stated as fact that kinect is rubbish. I know games utilise it i said as much in my post so not sure where you got that from? My point was beyond voice recognition it is pretty useless. Again thats an opinion.

If both of you think Lei shouldnt have posted what she did why did nobody call out the guy talking about kinect fitness as that is not related to the OPs question?

Cant have rule for one and one for another simply because they were bashing kinect.

I hate this notion that i have to own something to know about it. I dotn own a Ferrari but i know their pretty fast. I have never played an NHL game but i know i wouldnt like it.

 

...because the guy who brought up Kinect Fitness is the SAME GUY who created the thread. lol. His question/answer lead him to ask the
